Chicagoans celebrated the Bliss' franchise's first-ever Playoff berth as well as the Eastern Conference Championship in front of a near capacity crowd at Sears Centre Arena in Hoffman Estates, Illinois.

Despite the snow and near freezing temperatures, thousands of Chicagoans made the drive to Hoffman Estates last night to be part of history as their Chicago Bliss advanced to the Eastern Conference Playoffs which will be held in Miami Super Bowl weekend. Fans stood throughout the game with cell phones pointed at the field capturing every moment of LFL, Friday Night Football.

From Opening Kickoff there was a playoff-like atmosphere at Sears Centre Arena and a sense of excitement for a new era of pro football in Chicago. It it did not take long for the fireworks to start as Chicago opened the game with an impressive drive that was capped by a 9yd run by Game MVP QB Elle Cartabiano to put Chicago ahead 6-0. From the first Bliss touchdown a bond was instantly formed between the team and their new fan base.

Chicago never gave up the lead posting 28 first half points and a 28-13 halftime lead. The key play of the game came with only :07 seconds remaining in the half and Philly driving inside the Chicago 4yd line when Bliss safety Kat Johns intercepted Philly QB Jackie Danico and made a highlight-reel type 46yd touchdown return that absolutely blew the roof off Sears Centre Arena with Chicago fans at a fever-pitch.

Philadelphia never recovered from that potential 14pt swing and Chicago All-Fantasy team running back Saran Dunmore added another 3 touchdowns in the 2nd half to blow the game wide open with a final score of 46-19.

Chicago will now face either Miami, Tampa or Philadelphia in the Eastern Conference Championship game on Thursday, February 4, 2010 at Seminole Hard Rock Live Arena in Hollywood, Florida. If Chicago wins the Eastern Conference championship, they will advance to play the Western Conference champion in the seventh annual Super Bowl halftime special called the Lingerie Bowl played to LIVE worldwide audience on Super Bowl Sunday.
